I was looking for a travel cage for my ferrets today on craigslist when I saw a posting for someone trying to get rid of two black-eyed white ferrets in Burlington, NC for $75. Normally I wouldn't be concerned, however, in the picture it looks like there are cedar chips in the cage and the owner said that they were willing to split the ferrets up. I'm pretty sure they are a bonded pair and I would hate to see this happen. I'm in Asheboro, and I have a sick ferret. I just got him Wednesday from someone who could not take care of him. He was listless and not eating or drinking, so I took him to a vet who seems nice, but I'd like to know if anyone knows any vets in the Asheboro area who are really ferret people. He seems to be in renal failure and may not make it, but I'm not willing to just give up. Does anyone provide "ferret sitting" service?

I will be gone from 26 DEC through 3 JAN and I wonder if there's anyone who could take care of my three ferrets during that time. One ferret requires medication, but he takes the liquid orally without problems.
